Her music

Songs, saxophones, and all that shifts when an experience finds its sound.

Carolina's songs and compositions trace the different seasons of her life. There is no single formula: each project grows from a question, a loss, an encounter or a new way of listening to herself.

Tribus · Behind the music

The questions that set it in motion, the musicians met along the way, and the deeply human story behind the record.

No other piece gathers so completely who she is: saxophonist, composer, director and maker of encounters.

Tribus

Returning to Peru with new ears.

Tribus grew out of Carolina's encounters with the musicians, families and traditions of Peru — above all in the Mantaro Valley.

Saxophone, voice, composition and collaboration come together here. More than a fusion record, it is the trace of a journey: a jazz-trained artist beginning to hear her instrument inside other people's stories, and learning to meet them with respect.

Made with more than forty musicians, Tribus does not try to sum up Peru. It shares one person's return — full of wonder, and of learning.

Bloom

The voice that rose out of silence.

After losing her voice and going through surgery, Carolina found another way to speak. In that silence came words, songs, and a side of her that had long waited in the wings.

Bloom, her first album as a singer-songwriter, marks that turning point: the moment the performer and director finally allowed herself to stand at the centre of her own songs.

In progress

New music

Songs about change, and beginning again.

Carolina is writing new songs about growing, letting go of certainties, recognising yourself and beginning again — without ever denying all that has been lived.
